Desh Bhagat Global School Won Twelve Gold In National Boxing Championship


Desh Bhagat Global School boxing team has won twelve gold, seven silver and one bronze medal in national boxing championship. It is a proud moment for Desh Bhagat Global School. Desh Bhagat Global School has become the talk of the town for best performance.

While speaking on the occasion Desh Bhagat Global School Chairman Dr. Zora Singh conveyed his best wishes to all the teams saying that sports are an essential part of our education. He encouraged all the students to participate in sports activities with full enthusiasm and win medals for the country. He said that Desh Bhagat Global School provides all types of incentives and facilities to the outstanding players.

Vice Chairperson DrTajinder Kaur gave her blessing to the students and appreciated the efforts of Mr. Sarbhjeet Singh and Ms. Mukta. She added that this is the result of student’s hard work and the great efforts of the team. She hoped that students will do their best at state level and they will make us feel proud.

Dr. Virinder Singh while congratulating the students over the achievement said that management gives full importance not only to research, innovation and other scholastic activities but also to sports and other co-curricular activities.

Desh Bhagat Global School celbrates Baisakhi


Desh Bhagat Global School celebrated Baisakhi with full zest and zeal. Students of all the classes participated in this function. Special assembly was held to inspire the students for the Service of Humanity and to make them all aware of their cultural background. Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh presided over the function.

The School Principal Mrs. Nidhi Singhi explained to the students the importance of Baisakhi in the Sikh history. She said that we celebrate Baisakhi because it was the day of creation of the Khalsa Panth (community of the pure) by Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and last human Sikh Guru in 1699, at Keshgarh Sahib in Ananadpur Sahib.                                                                                                  
After this an interesting cultural function was oraganised. The House In-charges organised a Quiz Competition related to this function and the students. After this the boys presented Punjabi folk dance Bhangra followed by Giddha  performed by the school girls. Everybody enjoyed a lot. In the end, the melodious, rhythmic sounds of girls filled the environment with sweetness and charm when they sang “O Jatta ayi Baisakhi….Faslaan di mukk gayi rakhi….O Jatta ayi Baisakhi.”

Path Of Sri Sukhmani Sahib At Desh Bhagat Global School


Desh Bhagat Global School’s first academic day of year 2018 commenced with great enthusiasm and religious fervour after winter vacations. 


To bless the students and motivate them to use their energy in positive way, Path (Recitation) of Sri Sukhmani Sahib was held in the school. 


Students from different classes, all the members of the teaching and non teaching staff participated in it with religious fervour and devotion. On this occasion, the school staff along with Kirtani Jatha presented soul-warming recital of Baani.


Present on the occasion, Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur greeted their best wishes to the students and staff members. 


Vice Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh praised the whole staff saying that they have been doing excellent work for which they deserve all praise. Directors of different faculties including Dr. Surjeet Patheja, Dr. Kulbhushan and staff members were also present.


School Principal Mr. Vinod Kumar Sharma highlighted various innovations and methodologies to be introduced in coming days. 


He also informed that a multimedia lecture on Health and Nutrition was especially arranged. During which, teachers made aware the students about balanced diet and said that eating Fruits of all colours, vegetables, whole grains and dry fruits are essential for good health and healthy brain. All the students evinced a keen interest in entire programme.

Desh Bhagat Global School Organises Annual Function And Graduation Ceremony


Desh Bhagat Global School organised Annual Function and Graduation Ceremony Cum Prize Distribution event in an impressive way. On last day of the two days long event, S. Amrik Singh Dhillon (MLA, Samrala) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The function started with Saraswati Vandna, a prayer to Goddess of Knowledge.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chairman, Desh Bhagat United and Chancellor Desh Bhagat University and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor Desh Bhagat University welcomed the Chief Guest, other guests and parents. They said that the School is taking each and every step for the overall development of the personality of the students. School Principal Vinod Kumar Sharma read the Annual Report of the School and highlighted various innovations to be introduced in the upcoming session. He described the new teaching methodologies being adopted by the Global School for making the students highly qualified.
The Tiny tots of the school showcased their talent by participating in fancy dress, dance, skits and other competitions. It was really very amusing to see the little children showing their talent in different fields which enthralled parents and guests. Senior students performed Martial Arts, English Play, Rajasthani Dance, Bhangra and Giddha. They also presented a play based on the theme of freedom struggle which was dedicated to S. Lal Singh Ji, a great freedom fighter and companion of Neta Ji Subhash Chander Boss, in whose memory The Desh Bhagat United and Desh Bhagat University is established. Choreography on Save the Earth and A Play on Save the Environment were highly liked by all.
Chief Guest S. Amrik Singh Dhillon (MLA, Samrala) distributed the prizes to the students. He appreciated the excellent progress made by the school and the role of Desh Bhagat United in spreading the light in all fields of education in the state.
Er. Sandeep Singh Vice-President, Desh Bhagat United thanked all the guests for sparing their valuable time and the parents for their kind cooperation in all school activities. Besides the faculty and the students, Faculty of Ayurveda and Research Director Dr. Kulbhushan, Director Dr. Surjit Patheja, Dr. H.K. Sidhu were also present on the occasion.

Teej Festival Celebrated At Desh Bhagat Global School

Desh Bhagat Global School celebrated Teej Festival with full zest and zeal. The celebration started with a special assembly, which was called to give knowledge to the students about the festival and to make them all aware of their Culture and Heritage.






Desh Bhagat United Chairman Dr. Zora Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who greeted all with his best wishes for the festival and said that it  is a very popular Punjabi Female Festival. It has a special charm not only for girls but for elderly ladies also who fully celebrate and enjoy it.


Director Dr. Surjit Patheja graced the event as Guest of Honour. Students were dressed up in colourful traditional attires and they added to the fascination of the festival with their wonderful performances.


Giving more details about the event, school Principal Vinod Kumar Sharma said that an interesting cultural function was organised. Students took part in the competitions like Mehndi, Rangoli, Drawing, Dance and Singing etc. Star attraction of the event was Giddha and Boliyan competition in which girl students performed excellently and enthralled the audience.


After different rounds Miss Teej Crown was given to Noorinder Kaur from senior wing and to Angelpreet Kaur from junior wing. In Mehndi competition Veermati, Anmol and Simran were adjudged first, second and third respectively while Karman received consolation prize.



The winners of different competitions were honoured with prizes. Vice Chairperson Dr. Tajinder Kaur expressed her happiness by appreciating the step taken by the school staff.

Desh Bhagat Global School Organises Inter School Poetry Recitation Competition

Desh Bhagat Global School organised an Inter-School Sahodaya Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition. In all 28 schools from different districts of the state of Punjab participated in the competition.  Desh Bhagat University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh inaugurated the event and said that academics and extra curriculum activities are equally important, as they play an important role in the development of human personality.


The students participated in the competition with full enthusiasm and showed excellent talent. After different rounds, the Finals of all the categories were particularly interesting. The final results are:


In Class 3rd to 5th  : Sehajpal (Sant Kirpal School,Neelon) – First, Ridhu ( Garden valley, Bassi Pathana)-Second, Jashanpreet (Desh Bhagat Global School,M.G.G)-Third and Janvi of S.C.L.L.H school got consolation prize.


In Class 6th to 8th : Rishjeet (Garden Valley, Bassi Pathana)–First, Vivek Sharma (Garden Valley, Bassi Pathana)-Second, Komalpreet ( Lala Sarkaru Mal School, Khanna)-Third and Manjinder of Desh Bhagat Global School received consolation prize.


In Class 9th to 12th : Ishika ( Sacred Heart School,Jalalpur)- First, Pawan (USPC Jain School, Ludhiana)-Second and Harman Bhardwaj (Green Grove School, Mohanpur,Manji Sahib) declared third while Jashanjeet from Saffron School, Sirhind got consolation prize. Desh Bhagat United Chairman Dr. Zora Singh and Vice-Chairperson Dr. Tajinder Kaur appreciated the students for their excellent performance and said that this kind of event channelize the energy of the students in good direction.



School Principal Vinod Kumar Sharma presided over the Prize Distribution function. The teachers of participated schools appreciated the arrangements made by the host school. Later, a 3D movie Jungle Boy was shown to the students in Desh Bhagat Global School's 3D Movie Hall, which enthralled the one and the all.  The event concluded with marvelous response and left behind everlasting memories.
